My Meade Recipe's

Orange Cinnamon Meade
Per 1 Gallon:
3 lbs Honey
1 clove, split in half
1 Cinnamon Stick
25 Rasins (give or take), split in half
1 cup Orange Juice
1 pack Lavlin D-47 yeast
Water to balance
Put honey in clean carboy. Rinse honey container with HOT water and add to carboy twice. Mix honey and water well (should be about 1:2). Add clove, cinnamon stick, rasins, and orange juice with enough water to bring to curve in carboy. Aeriate well, add yeast and aeriate again. Install airlock and put it in a warm dark place.
Check daily. Once the airlock bubbling slows, port the batch to a clean carboy and add water to balance out to 1 gallon. It should start bubbling again for a short time and then drop clear in about a month.
Lemonade Meade
Per 1 Gallon:
3 lbs Honey
2 Lemons, washed well with peel and cut in 8ths
2 Cups of freshly brewed tea (Red Rose is nice)
2 Cloves
½ Campden Tab
1 pack Lavlin D-47 yeast
Water to balance
Put honey in clean carboy. Rinse honey container with HOT water and add to carboy twice. Mix honey and water well (should be about 1:2). Add lemon, tea, cloves, and campden tab with enough water to bring to curve in carboy. Aeriate well, add yeast and aeriate again. Install airlock and put it in a warm dark place.
Check daily. Once the airlock bubbling slows, port the batch to a clean carboy and add water to balance out to 1 gallon. It should start bubbling again for a short time and then drop clear in about 1-2 months.
Chai Spice Meade
Per 1 Gallon:
3 lbs Honey
2 Cups of Lipton Chai Spice tea, prepared
1 Tsp. Yeast Nutrient
½ Tsp. Acid Blend
½ Campden Tab
1 pack Lavlin D-47 yeast
